Heritage Charter is a Texas based, privately owned, full service charter school development company dedicated to serving in all aspects of your new charter campus. This includes site selection, entitlements, total project budgeting, design, financing and general construction services depending on your need. Heritage offers unprecedented access to a wide variety of low cost school financing options and we will also work to help you build and own your campus through a very flexible “lease with option to purchase” program if needed, which allows for timely occupancy and eventual purchase at a later date.

Our highly experienced team has recently completed many new charter facilities utilizing a unique, integrated process of design, budgeting, finance and rapid project delivery at surprisingly lower total costs than traditional methods.

Our first charter school project was in 2015 with a new El Paso elementary campus that was completed in 143 calendar days and far under the district’s original budget. From there we realized the potential value we could bring to the charter school industry and began working with other schools throughout Texas and eventually New Mexico, repeating the same unique method of high quality, low cost, rapid delivery campuses. Our team includes highly experienced architects, engineers, site selection & entitlement representatives, subcontractors, etc.  This strong team works well with district representatives to deliver exceptional schools at surprisingly lower total costs than traditional methods. 

The team’s background includes nearly 30 years in the commercial real estate & finance industry, with the last 25 years dedicated to developing privately owned commercial developments including retail, offices, medical, assisted living, adult and children’s day care centers, and numerous federal & state leased facilities. Because we are experienced in constructing buildings that we own, our approach is far more aligned with the charter districts’ point of view as opposed to a typical general contractor. As an owner with the liability of paying the loan back vs. the build it and move on mentality, we are obsessed with maximizing the optimal balance of cost, quality and timing.
